TIZIANA PIRELLI

MSc and PhD in Agricultural Science and Technology, with more than 10 years of experience in Climate Smart Agriculture, with a focus on sustainable and integrated food and energy systems. Prior to joining CREA, she worked at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) in the Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment (OCB). Her fieldwork has taken her to more than 20 countries. She speaks Italian, English and French
ANTONELLA DI FONZO
LENSES Project manager from March 2023
MSc and PhD in Economics with a focus on quantitative methods for economics, region, and environment. She is adjunct professor of Natural Resource Economics and Agri-Food Economics at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. Her main research interests are related to sustainability of natural resources in agriculture and policies, quantitative and qualitative analysis of agri-food chains, agro-industrial value chains and national and international policies that regulate the agri-food system
SILVIA VANINO
Tarquinia Pilot leader
Her studies are focused on water use monitoring, evaluation and management, agri-environmental monitoring, land use vulnerability and desertification. She has over twenty years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing applications on environment and water resources management. She has long-lasting experience in implementing and managing several European-funded projects in the agricultural sector (Η2020, FP7, Fp6, Interreg).
VALENTINA BARATELLA

Technologist (PhD). Her main research topic focus on ecophysiology of agroforestry systems, with particular reference to resource use efficiency and agroecosystem sustainability, soil quality, biotic/abiotic interactions and agroecological indicators, environmental monitoring, 2D-dynamic spatialization of environmental variables by OSS
CLAUDIA DI BENE
Research support in the Pilot area
Researcher in Agricultural Science and Technology (PhD). Her main field of expertise are cropping systems diversification; the use of simulation models for processes in the soil-plant system; GHG emissions from agricultural soils; climate change adaptation and mitigation in agriculture under Mediterranean conditions
CHIARA PICCINI

Technologist, background in Geology and Earth Science. Expert in spatialization of experimental data using geostatistics, Digital Soil Mapping techniques and satellite imagery; application of crop simulation models for soil N and C dynamics; soil quality and environmental concerns; irrigation water quality and soil chemical fertility.

Communication expert – Social channels curator
Graduated in communication and public administration, she has experience as European project manager. In the last fifteen years, she has been carrying out research in the information and communication sector, with particular reference to national and european agricultural policies, and to the enhancement of aspects related to the concept of identity.
