Second progress meeting

23 – 25 May 2022

Objective of the three-days meeting, which will also include a Study visit in the Italian pilot area of Tarquinia Plain, will be to present the progresses and first outcomes of the first year of project implementation in the MED area. LENSES has aimed at optimizing the interrelationships between Water-Ecosystems-Food (WEF) at local level, according to the integrated multidisciplinary approach proposed in the study and based on dynamic participatory models (PSDM – Participatory System Dinamic Models).

Stefano Fabiani, Project Coordinator says: “The main objective of LENSES, which started in May 2021 and is now in its first year of existence, is to improve the understanding of WEF systems to reveal their complexity and manage their uncertainty, in relation to their dynamic evolution. Addressing uncertainty and understanding the intrinsic qualities that make a WEF system resilient is critical to building sustainable Nexus systems that can adapt quickly to change and change”.
